9th September 2013

Congratulations to Martin Dunne on making the Ulster GAA All-Stars team.

Senior Championship

Well done to our seniors who defeated Kingscourt in the championship on Sunday evening last in BréifnePark. They now meet Mullahoran in the quarter-final on Friday evening 20 September. Best of luck to players and management.

Minor Championship

Oliver Plunketts met minor championship favourites Ramor United on Saturday last in Lavey. There was never much between the sides. Both sides were guilty of missing scoring chances.  It was a draw at half-time 0-3 to 1-0. Exchanges in the second half were also tight with Ramor United edging things by one point 0-9 to 1-5.

Our under-16s play Ramor United in the championship semi-final in Stradone on Saturday next 14 September at 4.30pm. Best of luck to them.

Girls’ under-14 football

Well done to our girls’ under-14 team who defeated Ballyhaise in TerryCoylePark on Saturday morning last. They are now in the final on Saturday next probably in BréifnePark. Best of luck to all in the final.

Congratulations to Martin Dunne on making the Ulster GAA All-Stars team which was announced at a banquet in Armagh City Hotel on Thursday last. It is great honour for Martin, his family and his club Cavan Gaels. Martin is also still the highest scorer in the national GAA championship.
